Due to the nature of our products and services, Aluglass Cape offers a base warranty on our workmanship and then passes on the warranty provided by our materials’ suppliers.

Installation and Workmanship

Aluglass Cape offers a 1-year warranty on the installation of our products. This includes:

  • Leaks.
  • Issues with operation based on installation.
  • Lack of stability due to installation or design.
  • Messiness and general shoddy workmanship.

Where applicable, these issues will be rectified at no additional cost provided the general design of the product does not change from what was signed off by the customer.

However, this warranty is voided if:

  • The failure of operation or damage is a result of the improper use, care, or cleaning of the product.
  • The product has been modified or maintained by any other party within the warranty period.

After the warranty period is concluded, Aluglass Cape can be contacted to service the products at cost.

NB: In line with our standard service terms, Aluglass Cape will not service any product not supplied and installed by either Aluglass Cape, Aluglass Showerflex, or Alprod Showerdoors.

Toughened Safety Glass

Due to the nature of the material, our suppliers do not warrant toughened safety glass.

Hardware and Componentry

We have several hardware and componentry suppliers, and their individual warranties apply on a case-by-case basis. Hardware and componentry include things like shower hinges and clamps.

In general, however hardware is warranted against mechanical or finishing defects for one year from purchase date. This warranty is void if the hardware has been damaged due to improper cleaning, installation or modification.

Never use an abrasive cleaner of any kind on your hardware. Many components are coated with a clear lacquer that will be irreparably damaged if subject to harsh chemicals and scrubbing devices.

Framed Showers

Our framed showers are warranted by our supplier. The supplier warranty stipulates 180 days (about 6 months) for the glazing of the glass (not the glass itself, see above), and 1 year for the frames themselves. Note that this warranty starts on their supply date to Aluglass, and not day of installation by Aluglass.
