How long does glass take to be made up?

Though we take every precaution to make sure there are no delays in your order, there is an average lead time of 7-10 working days for any Toughened Safety Glass to be manufactured.

Orders are placed when both deposit is  paid, and final measurements are taken.

Please note that we are beholden to our suppliers and should there be any manufacturing concerns this might cause delays. We endeavour to keep in the loop when these things happen, however.

Please also note that should loadshedding be in effect, this can have disastrous implications for our suppliers as well and can push our lead time to 12-15 working days.

Do you require a deposit?

For sales not covered by a JBCC contract we require a 60% deposit at quote acceptance with the balance due on day of installation. We gladly accept digital proof of payment (POP).

Please note that materials will not be ordered, and manufacturing of glass will not begin until deposit is paid.

What glass do you use?

As a standard we use Toughened Safety Glass – thickness as per SAGGA/AAAMSA recommendation/regulation. All installations comply with SANS-10400.

Because our products are all made to order we offer a variety of glass finishes, such as tinted and fluted, and thicknesses and will be sure to recommend the right product for your needs.

Do your quotes include installation?

Quotes include installation unless otherwise discussed. We are happy to do supply only and offer delivery as an additional charge.

Do you stock plastic seals?

We hold a selection of the plastic seals and other hardware used in our installations at our sales offices for purchase. Anything we do not have on hand can be ordered and will be available in 1-2 working days. We regret no deliveries on spares.

Do you stock parts for framed units?

We do not hold stock of spare parts for framed shower units but will try and point you in the right direction.

For framed units we have supplied and still within warranty, we will order spare parts as needed. Lead time is based on availability.

Do your showers have a warranty?

Our installations include a 1-year warranty from date of final installation. Whereas we warrant our installation, materials are warranted by our suppliers. A summary of our warranties can be found here.

Any Toughened Safety Glass supplied is not included in our warranty as it cannot be warranted by our suppliers.

Full warranty information available on request.

Do you do services on existing showers?

Due to the wide variety of products on the market and the lack availability of spares we regrettably do not service showers that were not installed by either Aluglass Cape, Aluglass Showerflex or Alprod Showerdoors.

Please note that we have a flat service rate that does not include any parts needing replacement and may be adjusted based on the distance required for travel.
